Nordstrom has been one of my favorite department stores since the first day I ever stepped foot inside. Coincidentally, it was Westfield Montgomery Mall that introduced me, and Nordstrom Montgomery holds a special place in my little fashionista heart :) So I was pleasantly surprised when I was invited to attend the Beauty Trend Show + Topshop Launch event. A day of pampering and shopping? Um, yes, sign me up por favor!
The day started with a beauty presentation of the best skin and makeup trends for the spring/summer 2014 season. From Dior to Nars, and every luxurious brand in between, the show was fun and definitely educational. Host Laksmi Sam (Nordstrom's Regional Beauty Director) did an fantastic job getting the crowd excited so early in the morning, and her outfit changes were beautiful (that palazzo-style with the slits red pant? LOVE).
It was followed by a special blogger brunch, where we enjoyed a delicious three-course breakfast which was in one word, amazing. It was then off to preview the new Topshop collection, where our personal shopper showed us around and introduced us to the line. I may or may not have walked away with a gorgeous leather jacket... (side note: need to hide my credit card).
And as if the day couldn't get any better, Nordstrom hooked us up with some beauty appointments, and I got a little glam action by Chanel and Aveda.
I'm not used to being so pampered, and it was definitely a fun (and jam packed) event, not to mention really fun to shoot. I had a hard time really narrowing down my favorites, but here they are!
